Due to increased demand for the jewelry, we were able to add four new ladies to the jewelry program this past week bringing the total number of people working in the program to nine. It was hard to pick just four ladies to add to the program but we tried to pick the ladies who needed the most help in the village. One of the ladies (Fifa) said through a translator that before being selected for the program she sat in her house and didn't know what she was going to do but now she has hope. I want to thank everybody who has bought jewelry or been a part of helping with this program that we were able to expand and bring on some new ladies.
I (Lois) was also blessed to be back in the Dominican Republic last week to work with the ladies to teach them how to make some new items (bracelets and badge lanyards). It was such a blessing to get to see the ladies (and Luckny) again.
